Description

Palak paneer is a spinach dish made with a combination of leafy spinach and paneer (homemade cottage cheese). Garlic, ginger, onion are sautéed in a pan. Cumin, coriander, tumeric powder and some spices are added with a desired amount of sour cream. Spinach is until well cooked. The dish is removed from the heat. Once cooled it is mixed in a blender with our chef’s
special tomato based sauce until pureed. In a medium frying pan, paneer is fried in light oil until brown and the spinach puree is added with some spices, desired amount of cream and is cooked for 10 minutes.

Spice Level
Customers generally preferred Palak Paneer dish Medium heat. Kids love it mild and upon special request we can also make it Hot or Extra hot.

Palak Paneer is one of the most popular vegetarian dishes at our restaurant. Its popularity can now be traced around the world at all the South Asian restaurants.

How to order
Palak Paneer is usually ordered with garlic naan and/or Rice, peas pulav. Each serving is usually good for one to two people.

How to eat
Palak Paneer is eaten by dipping the naan in the spinach sauce or by pinching the paneer and spinach sauce with a piece of naan. It can also be eaten by mixing with your rice dish.

Origin
Palak paneer is one of the old north Indian dish which is an off shoot of the Punjabi – sarsoon ka saag, a Punjabi dish from the state of Punjab in India.
